This one is also a super moon which means the moon is making a perigee or close approach to the earth, and therefore its appearance is larger when rising or setting, and its influence has a stronger affect on the oceans tides. It can also create extreme weather conditions and have a strong affect on the emotional reactions of people and circumstances over the next few weeks.
