Biography
Born in a northern region of Romania known as Transylvania, Carmen Harra began dreaming of the world outside her small village from a very young age. At just five years old, Carmen nearly drowned in a river near her home before being rescued by her father. But the ill-fated experience blessed her with an extraordinary gift which she would use to help millions. Before she was reeled back to earthly reality, Carmen recalls passing through a tunnel of white light and into a picturesque world of beautiful landscapes, familiar faces, and serene music. This accident marked the beginning of Carmen’s journey.
Soon after, Carmen began entering and winning singing competitions. She knew that her vocal talents would be her saving grace, her escape from the little town with no running water and no chance for progress. She quickly rose to fame, touring throughout Europe, and released twelve albums. All the while, Carmen avidly studied the ability of the mind to transcend time, the teachings of Kabbalah, and the mesmerizing science of numerology. She was also greatly captivated by the possibility of communicating with those who have passed on. Though immersed in her singing career, Carmen began educating herself on these ancient arts and exercising her own ability to see beyond time.
Carmen was first invited to America on a singing contract but soon stumbled upon a completely new career path. Already possessing highly intuitive skills, Carmen decided to utilize the gift that came to her naturally. She began offering sessions as an intuitive counselor in NYC, and word spread quickly among Manhattan’s elite. Soon Carmen found herself attending exclusive Upper East Side parties, billionaire balls, even making TV appearances in which she explained the powers of the mind we all unknowingly possess. She also opted to expand her metaphysical skills by attending Albert University and earning a Ph.D. in Hypnosis and Alternative Healing. Carmen knew that she could better service her clients by combining her intuitive abilities with knowledge of cognitive therapy, and attained a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. She began writing her first book, Everyday Karma, which has been translated in 18 different languages and sold all over the globe. And this was only the beginning of her illustrious career.
For more than 20 years, Carmen has thrived as a prominent psychologist and renowned intuitive counselor. She has counseled over 40,000 clients from all walks of life. Carmen has written six best-selling books, hosted hundreds of radio shows and live seminars, and has made countless television appearances on national and international networks. Carmen is currently working on a reality show project as well as a major Hollywood film based on her fascinating life story. She continues to live out her mission, changing the lives of one person at a time.
Carmen is a co-chair in the Vital Voices Global Partnership led by Hillary Clinton, a delegate member of the Women in the World Foundation, an honorary member of the Alliance for a New Humanity founded by Al Gore and Deepak Chopra, and a member of the Clinton Foundation founded by Bill Clinton.
Carmen splits her time between Miami, Florida and New York. She is the mother of three grown daughters.
